The truth is that there are simply so many variables that can prevent you from getting that positive test you’ve been dreaming of for years. Meanwhile, the entire process just seems easy for everyone else. It feels like each time you open up social media, you’re facing another pregnancy announcement. It’s hard not to grow resentful through it all. You don’t want bad advice or unhelpful anecdotes; you want answers. As an Arizona family photographer, I spend a lot of time connecting with other parents and discovering their unique journeys into parenthood. If you are searching for a professional who will provide you with compassionate care throughout this process, let me tell you about Bloom Reproductive Institute so you can decide if this is the fertility clinic for you.

About the Bloom Reproductive Institute

8415 N. Pima Road, Suite 290, Scottsdale, Arizona 85258

Bloom Reproductive Institute is a center that has two locations in the state: a North Valley location in Scottsdale and an East Valley location in Chandler. The center features Dr. Millie Behera at the helm. Dr. Behera has spent years being recognized as a leader in the field. Before her time at Bloom Reproductive Institute, she was an Assistant Professor at Duke University and a Clinical Director of the Center for Fibroid Biology and Therapy. She has published several papers and has performed presentations across the globe on topics such as in-vitro fertilization, non-invasive treatment of fibroids, advanced robotic surgery, and fertility preservation therapies. Despite her impressive background, she maintains a friendly and approachable demeanor that will guide you through the process and provide you with all the support you need.

Dr. Behera doesn’t do any of this alone. She has built up a team of experts to ensure you have high-quality care at every turn. The office features Dr. Lauren Reschke, a Reproductive Endocrinologist who studied at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and Dr. Sheena Galhotra, a surgeon specializing in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery. The center is also staffed by warm professionals who will guide you through all the paperwork, insurance information, scheduling, and more.

The practice is a boutique clinic that strives to provide personalized services that actually work for you. Not only do they have some of the highest success rates, but they also excel at forging relationships that will make this entire process much easier. While struggling to conceive can be an exceptionally isolating experience, Bloom Reproductive Institute is here to make sure you never feel alone.

Services

With Bloom Reproductive Institute, your services will start out with an initial evaluation. Your first appointment will be exceptionally thorough. Not only will this give the office the ability to gain a better understanding of your specific case, but it also gives you the chance to ask them questions and learn more about all of your options. Throughout this visit, Dr. Behera will complete a review of your medical and personal history. Once she has a better understanding, she will start discussing diagnostic options. One of the most common recommendations is a physical exam and an ultrasound to evaluate your uterus, ovaries, and pelvis. They offer testing for both partners and can offer semen analysis and hormone testing. Following these exams, Dr. Behera will schedule an appointment, review the results, and discuss the best course of treatment for your case.

The primary form of treatment Bloom Reproductive Institute offers is in-vitro fertilization (IVF). This high-tech method takes about 4-6 weeks per cycle and can be pretty intensive. You’ll start out with a medication that will suppress hormones so your body can be prepared for treatment. Next, you will start hormone therapy to stimulate the ovaries into producing eggs. They will monitor the progression of this production before retrieving your eggs and collecting the sperm. They will manually fertilize eggs in the lab before transferring them to your uterus. Finally, you’ll take a pregnancy test in the clinic to see if the embryo was taken.

Specialized Treatments

Bloom Reproductive Institute offers other, less intensive options for treatment. They have intrauterine insemination, which involves “washing” semen before placing it in the uterus at the optimal time. For patients who might be facing obstacles such as fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic adhesions, uterine variants, ovarian cysts, tubal blockage, or intrauterine adhesions, the office might prescribe minimally invasive surgery.  They also offer fertility preservation options, including egg freezing.

The center has an exceptional egg donor program for patients who need a little additional help with conception. This program is ideal for women with suboptimal egg quality or a decreased ovarian reserve. It can also help people who have not had success with other treatment options. All the egg donors have been thoroughly screened to ensure you receive the best quality.

Specialty

For many people, the inability to pay can prevent them from growing their families when they’d like. Bloom Reproductive Institute understands this and provides you with solutions that can help you begin treatment at the right time. The center works in a network with most major insurance companies, including Aetna, Arizona Foundation, BlueCross BlueShield, Signa, HealthNet, and United Healthcare. Their team of experts can sit down with you and help you determine your benefits so you can figure out what your plan will cover.

In addition to its insurance options, the center offers payment plans through Arc Fertility. This center provides packages and payment plans so you can start treatment now and pay later. Finally, the center offers fertility grants. Once every calendar quarter, they offer a fertility grant to existing patients. This grant will cover one cycle of IVF treatment for one qualifying patient every three months.
